Starr Library is hosting a bike festival: a family fun event centered on bicycles, bike safety, and bike maintenance! There will be snacks, refreshments, art activities, a Bike Rodeo and more....bring your bikes!
Look for us there!
Climate Smart Rhinebeck will be there with a table hosted by Angela and her son Sam, avid cyclers. Sam, pledging to do more about climate change, led the family in walking to Chancellor Livingston Elementary School this past school year. They'd like to organize biking-to-school and want to chat about how to make it safer.
We want to hear about why you do or don’t bike to school (or elsewhere) in the Village. We’ll have a map of the Village for you to mark up.
Bike Craft Activity
Angela, an artist, will be sharing a craft at the table: Make your own mini bike sculptures. Using wood and metal findings, kids can dream up and create their own miniature bike sculptures.
You can also learn about the Town's proposed bike path connecting the Village to the Rhinecliff Train Station.
